Theme: Monsoon in North East India 

We invite photographers from across India to take part in “Monsoon in NE India,” a thematic photography contest celebrating the essence of monsoon across all eight states of North East India. Through this initiative, we aim to showcase the beauty, diversity, and unique experiences of the season.

Who Can Participate?

This open invitation welcomes hobbyists, professionals, and travellers to submit their finest monsoon-themed images from any of the following states: Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim

Each submission must align with the following theme Catagories :
  1. Monsoon Landscapes
  2. Flora and Fauna ( During Monsoon )
  3. Culture & Festivals  ( During Monsoon )
  4. People & Activities
  5. Food & Drinks

PRIZES FOR EACH CATEGORY

a) First Prize – Rs 15,000/- (Rs.10,000/- Cash + Photo Musings Gift Coupon worth Rs 5000/-)
b) Second Prize -Rs 10,000/- (Rs. 7,000/- Cash + Photo Musings Gift Coupon worth Rs 3,500/-)
c) Third Prize – Rs. 7,500/- (Rs 5,000/- Cash + Photo Musings Gift Coupon worth Rs 2,500/-)
d) 3 Consolation Prizes (Photo Musings Gift Coupon worth Rs 2000/-each)

How to Submit?

Upload your images via clicking the Participate Button below. Each submission must include:
Title of the image
Location & State
Theme it relates to
Photographer’s Full Name, Email & Contact Number

GUIDELINES RELATED TO SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES:

  • Each participant can submit up to 5 photos in JPG format (300 DPI), with a 3:2 ratio, minimum 5000 pixels on the longer side, and a maximum file size of 10MB. File name must follow this format: Theme_Your Name_State_Title.jpg (e.g., M1_Utpal_Dutt_Arunachal_Pradesh_Dancing_in_the_Rain.jpeg)
  • Entries should be in JPEG file.
  • Digital manipulation that distorts the reality of the photos will not be allowed. Only basic enhancements such as sharpening, contrast adjustment, or simple cropping will be allowed. HDR, Stacking, and Stitching images are not allowed.
  • The Images must be free from any kind of watermark/s.
  • The Organizers reserve the right to reject entries with incomplete details.
  • All submitted materials are non-returnable.
  • Participants must send their complete Name and address with pin code and contact number in the submission form.

COPYRIGHT/ INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY:

  • Entries must be the original he/she must be the copyright owner.
  • The Organizers reserve the right to reproduce any entry in print, broadcast and/or electronic media without requiring the permission of the participant and without any fee payment. However, the photographer will be acknowledged.

JUDGMENT AND RESULTS

  • The images will be selected by a panel of judges and their decision shall be final and binding. No correspondence pertaining to the selection process and decision shall be entertained.
  • Entries will be judged based on originality, creativity, and relevance to the theme.
  • The judging panel reserves the right not to award the prizes if the photographs submitted      
           do not meet the requirements stated in this document.
  • Results of the competition will be posted on www.photomusings.org on 19th August 2025

ACCEPTANCE OF RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Submission of entries signifies acceptance of the rules and regulations of the competition.
  • While the Organizers will exercise due care during the collection, selection, and storage of images, it shall not be held liable for any failure.
